The program is designed to aid childen in developing skills required in social problem solving including self-awareness. The program is suitable for children in year 6-8 who are encountering social skill difficulties*. The program targets social thinking concepts that are at the core of our social interactions and aims to provide strategies for your child to implement in their social interactions.

What are these concepts and why are they important?
These social thinking concepts teach children that every individual has their own thoughts and feelings. This is explored further by identifying that you can experience different thoughts and feelings even if you are thinking about or are in the same situation. The program aims to teach self-awareness and self-monitoring skills by demonstrating the links between thoughts and spoken language, through teaching lessons about holding thoughts and the affects that words can have on others.
